SB185 Does not post confidential information in a public messaging channel
Posting confidential information in a public messaging channel can be viewed by anyone and could be leaked further. If unsure, always check who has access to messaging channels and whether information can be shared.
Why is it important?
Confidential information should only be shared with those who need to know, and must be protected according to the relevant data protection legislation. Confidential information in the wrong hands may be leaked or used for malicious purposes. This puts the organisation – and individuals – at risk of financial and reputational harm.
Priority Tier
Behaviours in SebDB are ranked by their impact on risk. Tier 1 behaviours have the biggest impact, Tier 4 behaviours the least.
