Setting an account password with network provider
Criminals with access to network providers can launch SIM swap or mobile phone number porting attacks. Agreeing a password with mobile network providers reduces this risk.
Why is it important?
Attackers may try to socially engineer information from mobile account providers to commit SIM Swap fraud. Setting a password with the network provider protects against this.
